Palin Effect

This presidential election is about personality, not issues, as reported in the Washington Post.

Rick Davis, campaign manager for John McCain's presidential bid, insisted that the presidential race will be decided more over personalities than issues during an interview with Post editors this morning.

"This election is not about issues," said Davis. "This election is about a composite view of what people take away from these candidates."

McCain chose Palin to overcome the magic of the Obama effect.  Little vetting - McCain did not care.  He desperately wanted to capture Obama like magic.  Palin, unlike McCain, is easy on the eyes and ears. Hillary prepared us for women candidates with complications in there lives.  We are use to Republicans pointing out these complications.  It does not sound right coming from the Dems.

Time Magazine has a piece on Obama's Palin strategy. Teflon vs. Teflon...forget about the issues!
